ABBA Voyage Launches New Education Program in East London

ABBA Voyage, the digital concert experience featuring virtual avatars of the Swedish pop group, has launched a new education program in east London. The initiative was introduced with a special appearance from band members Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, who visited local students to mark the occasion.

The program aims to provide young people with hands-on opportunities in music, technology, and performance. It will offer workshops, behind-the-scenes access to the ABBA Voyage production, and mentorship from industry professionals. Organizers say the goal is to inspire creativity and introduce students to careers in the arts and entertainment sectors, from sound engineering to stage design.

Benny and Anni-Frid spent time with pupils at a school in the borough of Newham, answering questions and watching student performances. The duo spoke about their own early experiences in music and encouraged the children to pursue their passions. "It is wonderful to see young people so engaged," Anni-Frid said during the visit.

The education program is part of a broader effort by the ABBA Voyage team to connect with the local community. Since opening its custom-built arena at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the show has drawn fans from around the world. Now, with this new initiative, the production hopes to leave a lasting impact on the neighborhood that hosts it.
