Approximately 150 students, alongside two dozen faculty and instructors, convened at the Holmes Student Center on February 21 for the 10th interprofessional education (IPE) event organized by the College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS). This gathering brought together students from various disciplines, including athletic training, audiology, marriage and family therapy, medical laboratory sciences, nursing, nutrition and dietetics, kinesiology, and physical therapy.
The event aimed to foster collaboration among future healthcare professionals, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in delivering high-quality patient care. Participants engaged in interactive sessions designed to enhance their understanding of each other’s roles within the healthcare system. By working together, students learned how to improve patient outcomes through effective communication and cooperation.
This initiative reflects a growing recognition of the need for integrated healthcare approaches, preparing students to meet the complex challenges of modern patient care.
