Proteus Labs Partners with Avantis Education to Add Mixed Reality Science Experiments to ClassVR Xcelerate

Avantis Education has announced a partnership with Proteus Labs to bring mixed reality science experiments to its ClassVR Xcelerate platform and the EduverseSTEM education environment. The collaboration adds a library of interactive virtual laboratory experiences designed to help students explore scientific concepts that might otherwise be difficult, expensive, or unsafe to perform in a traditional classroom setting.

The new content covers core science subjects including chemistry, biology, and physics. Students can conduct experiments, manipulate equipment, and observe reactions in a controlled virtual space. Teachers gain access to ready made lesson materials that align with common curriculum standards, reducing preparation time while giving learners hands on practice with scientific methods.

According to the companies involved, the goal is to remove barriers that limit practical science instruction. Schools with limited lab equipment or tight budgets can now offer realistic experiments through mixed reality headsets and tablets. The EduverseSTEM platform supports both individual and group work, allowing instructors to guide students through activities in real time.
