HANOVERTON — A group of United Local students recently had the chance to travel to a conference in Columbus, allowing them to engage more deeply with their education. At the district school board meeting in March, students Levi Lucas, Olivia Ashburn, and Scarlett Courtney showcased their experiences and insights gained from the trip to district administrators and school board members.
The conference provided a platform for these young learners to explore various educational topics and network with peers from other schools. Their presentations highlighted the importance of student involvement in educational discussions and decision-making processes. By sharing their experiences, they aimed to inspire their fellow students and demonstrate the value of stepping outside the classroom to gain new perspectives.
This initiative not only enriched the students' understanding of their education but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration within the district. The trip exemplifies the commitment of United Local to empower students and encourage them to take an active role in their learning journey.
