A groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Friday at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Vienna, marking the start of a new aviation education center. The event brought together local officials, airport administrators, and community members to celebrate a project that aims to train the next generation of aviation professionals.

The facility will offer programs in aircraft maintenance, flight operations, and related technical fields. Supporters say the center will give students hands-on experience and a direct path to careers in a growing industry. It is also expected to strengthen the region's workforce and attract new business to the airport.

Speakers at the ceremony noted that the project has been years in the making and reflects a shared commitment to education and economic development. Construction is scheduled to move forward in phases, with the first classes expected to begin once the initial buildings are complete. Organizers described the day as a turning point for both the airport and the surrounding community.
