The Elmbrook Education Foundation has announced it will distribute more than $138,000 in scholarships to 85 graduating seniors from the district. The awards recognize students for their academic performance and their contributions to the local community.
According to foundation officials, the scholarship recipients were selected from a competitive pool of applicants. Each award was based on a combination of grade point average, extracurricular involvement, and volunteer work. The foundation aims to support students who have demonstrated both leadership and a commitment to service during their high school years.
The scholarships range in value, with some covering a significant portion of first-year tuition costs. Foundation board members noted that this year's total funding represents a slight increase compared to previous years, thanks to donations from local businesses and alumni.
Students will receive their awards during a ceremony scheduled for later this month. Many of the recipients plan to attend colleges and universities across the state and country. The Elmbrook Education Foundation has been providing scholarships for over a decade, helping hundreds of local students pursue higher education.
