Go For Broke National Education Center to Host 25th Annual Evening of Aloha

The Go For Broke National Education Center will hold its 25th annual Evening of Aloha Gala Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in Downtown Los Angeles.

Registration and a silent auction begin at 4 p.m., followed by dinner and the main program at 6 p.m.

The event has long served as both a celebration and a reunion for the Japanese American community, bringing together veterans, their families, and supporters from across the country. Over the past quarter century, the gathering has raised funds to preserve the stories of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, the 100th Infantry Battalion, and the Military Intelligence Service, units whose members fought with uncommon bravery while their families faced confinement at home.

Organizers describe the evening as a chance to reflect on that legacy and to pass it to younger generations. Proceeds support educational programs, exhibitions, and archival work at the center, which works year round to teach the history of Japanese American service during World War II.

Attendees can expect a formal dinner, live entertainment, and tributes to surviving veterans. The silent auction will feature items donated by local businesses and community partners.
